The Effect of Institutional Support, Proactive Personality, and Self-Efficacy on Sustainable Entrepreneurial Intention

This study aims to analyze the influence of institutional support, proactive personality, and self-efficacy on sustainable entrepreneurship intentions, as well as to examine the mediating role of self-efficacy and proactive personality in this relationship. Data were collected from 204 SME entrepreneurs in the handicraft sector in Cianjur Regency using a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicate that institutional support and proactive personality have a significant positive influence on sustainable entrepreneurial intentions, both directly and indirectly through self-efficacy. Institutional support has the greatest influence on sustainable entrepreneurial intentions through self-efficacy. This study contributes theoretically by developing a sustainable entrepreneurship model that integrates internal factors (proactive personality, self-efficacy) and external factors (institutional support), and provides empirical evidence of the synergy between proactive personality, self-efficacy, and institutional support.
