Enhancing Licensure Examination Readiness in Professional Education Courses through Integration Sessions among Pre-Service Teachers

Integration sessions are tailored to be a key factor in making professional education curricula more effective. This study examined the effectiveness of integration sessions in improving academic performance and licensure examination readiness of BEEd and BECEd pre-service teachers in professional education courses. Using a one-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design, standardized BLEPT-aligned tests were administered across key domains. Results showed significant improvements in post-test scores, with the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test confirming statistically significant differences and large effect sizes. Results indicate that integration sessions effectively enhance content mastery, address learning gaps, and strengthen test-taking readiness. The study underscores the value of structured, competency-based review interventions in teacher education programs to improve licensure outcomes and overall preparedness of future educators.
